Each sachet makes 1 pint of sauce.
Bechamel sauce, also known as white sauce, is made using a mixture of butter and flour that the French call a roux. It is often used as the base for other sauces (such as Mornay sauce, which is Bechamel with cheese).
1. Mix sachet contents with 1 pint of milk. Bring to the boil gently, stirring continuously. Simmer for 1-2 minutes, until sauce has thickened.
2. Serve immediately.
This sauce is perfect for recipes such as Lasagne or Moussaka.
