Possible DPD Delivery Delays – Kings Coronation
The King’s Coronation - Impact on deliveries in the London area from Thursday 4th May:
The King’s Coronation takes place at Westminster Abbey on the morning of Saturday 6th May.
DPD, which deliver orders for some of our customers, have notified us that road closures in Westminster will start from Thursday 4th May and remain in place until Sunday 7th May.
We are doing everything we can to minimise the impact of this event on your deliveries. However, these road closures will mean DPD are unable to access certain roads and be unable to make some deliveries in the SW1 area.
On Sunday 7th May, the celebrations move to Windsor, which will impact the area in the SL4 postcode area and we expect the roads in Windsor to be extremely congested.
In addition, there are numerous street parties planned across the weekend which will see many residential roads closed which will restrict the movement of DPD delivery vehicles. Any orders that cannot be delivered will be re-attempted on Tuesday 9th May, following the Bank Holiday.
As always, DPD will keep you informed of your delivery status via MyDPD portal – as long as you have submitted your details for this.
